Coding is the language of computer programming. It's a trending subject taught in many schools and libraries, because coding shapes the world around us. Teaching coding to young students (even kindergartners!) unlocks opportunities to practice critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration. Students tackle challenges while engaging in play-based activities. Teaching coding also introduces students to future career options in STEM. Read "5 Reasons to Teach Kids to Code." Taylor Prairie Kindergarten and First Grade students enjoyed these apps as they learned early concepts of coding. You can download them for free and let the learning continue at home!
