So, in the case of car sharing, the innovators looked at the car rental industry and came up with a new approach that ‘disrupted’ the old conventional method.

Rock the Beat

Players in Rock the Beat do just that, creating a steady beat by slapping their thighs and clapping their hands to the rhythm of the Queen song "We Will Rock You". At the start of the game, each player receives a card showing a symbol that the player can create with her hands: deer antlers, thumb's up, thumbing your nose, etc. Once the beat is established, the start player replaces the clap with her own symbol, then the symbol of another player (e.g., slap, slap, thumbs up, slap, slap, thumbs up). The player who holds the antlers card must repeat his own symbol on the next clap, then "throw" someone else's signal. When a player messes up the rhythm or fails to respond to his signal, he receives a new symbol card, while his old one goes to the player who threw him the symbol. This latter player now has two symbols in front of him, making gameplay trickier for him. Who will keep rocking the beat and collecting cards?

X-Code

In X-Code, all players play simultaneously to cooperatively crack an encrypted code against time. The game board is constructed like a number field. The goal is to place a set of three equal cards on each square, including # and *. At the beginning, each player starts with three cards. As soon as the hourglass is turned over, gameplay becomes fast-paced: Players can draw or discard cards. In order to win the game, however, an exchange of cards with their neighbors is indispensable. The cards may not be passed on freely, however. Each card shows an arrow that indicates whether the right or left neighbor can be traded with and they must be ready to return a suitable card. Jokers allow you to replace missing cards. Once a player has a set of three equal cards in hand, they can place it on the appropriate space, either cracking part of the code or earning extra time. Storing time cards allows you to turn the hourglass over and earn valuable seconds. If the code can be cracked so that all fields are filled with the appropriate cards, the players have won together and can compete in another level.
