A note from your guide:
Over the course of my teaching career, I mothered four daughters who are each strong women in their own way. I'm excited that they are raising my grandchildren to see the word "feminist' in it's broadest terms--those who advocate for a world in which all people are worthy of respect and deserving of equal agency. This guide, along with several lists developed for and shared with student leaders who are working towards greater social justice, are my last project before retiring. I hope you find it valuable.
Much love and best wishes,
Mrs. Cowell, Librarian

P.S. Thank you to Kenlei Cowell, Ethan Klein, and Josie Pyng for their help in research, writing, and book selections. As it has always been with us--being a librarian is a family affair.
“She delighted in the smell of the ink, the rough feel of the paper between her fingers, the rustle of sweet pages, the shapes of letters before her eyes.” —from My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows
